エクスパンションボード/Expansion Board

  • エクスパンションボードを装着することで欲しい音色を追加可能。
  • ウェーブ（波形データ）とパッチ（音色データ）を収録。
  • 容量は8～16MB。
  • 多彩なジャンルを用意。

サンプラーと比較

  • サンプラーについては【ROLAND】サンプラーを参照。
  • パッチ数が多い
  • サンプラーと違って買ってすぐに使える。
  • サンプラーと違って読み込みメモリがいらない。→サンプラーはメモリが必要。
  • サンプラーと違ってロード待ちがない。→サンプラーはロードが必要。
  • サンプラーと違ってFDやCD-ROMなどのメディアやドライブがいらない。→サンプラーはメディアやドライブが必要。

  • バンクセレクトはスロット位置で拡張ボードを選択する仕組み。

SRXシリーズ

  • 次の世代の拡張ボード。
  • SRX-06,SRX-07,SRX-08,SRX-09ではSR-JV80シリーズのウェーブ（波形データ）を用いている。
  • バンク・セレクトは拡張ボードに割り振りされている。

SR-JV80-06 Dance

  • 人気の拡張ボードだったと思われる。
